We've Updated Our Recruitment and Posting Process to HR Smart!

We are now using a new Applicant Tracking System (ATS) called HR Smart.  This new software allows you to create an account which provides a unique user login and password to monitor and apply for current Town employment opportunities through the ATS. 

Positions that are available will be found in the “Job Opportunities” tab below.  You can select the position of interest to view the details and job description (when available).  Within the job details page, you have the option to create an account. If you have already done so, you select “submit your resume/CV to this job” to login and apply.  You can also share the job opportunity on your personal social media or share with a friend.

You will also find a tab to view the “ Status” of positions that have closed (applications are no longer being accepted) but are still in the recruitment process (i.e. the position has not been filled).  Here you will find information on what stage of the recruitment that position is in.  When the position is no longer listed, the position has been filled.

Applications for positions will only be accepted through the ATS. Email or faxed applications will no longer be accepted. There may be special circumstances, as determined by the HR Department, where hand delivered applications would be accepted.

How do I apply?

Applicants are strongly advised to create a profile and submit their resumes within our online application tool. 

In the event you require an alternate method of submitting your application, please contact the Town’s Human Resources Department by calling 705-436-3710.

Did the Town receive my application?

The online application tool will send you a confirmation message; this confirms your application has been received. If you do not receive this confirmation, please call 705-436-3710 and ask to speak to the Human Resources Department.

To help staff provide you an answer quickly please have the title and posting number of the position for which you have applied.

Have I been selected for an interview?

We would like to thank all applicants, but only those selected for an interview will be contacted directly. Personal information will be used to determine eligibility for potential employment and is pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

External Job Postings

All external job postings will be advertised in various forms of media. This includes applicable association websites and the Town of Innisfil’s website. Please note: The location of ads is dependent on the nature of the vacant position being advertised.

Unsolicited Applications

The Town does not accept unsolicited applications. Please monitor our Employment Opportunities and apply by quoting the appropriate file number.

Volunteer Firefighters

We have a total of four (4) Fire Stations that provide Fire and Rescue services to the community. The Human Resources Department accepts applications via our applicant system for Volunteer Firefighter positions pursuant to the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act.

Student Opportunities

We have a number of student positions that are available in both the summer and winter months.  These positions are within a number of our service areas including Parks, Recreation, and Facilities as well as Roads Services. 

The Town also participates in the Co-operative Education program and has a variety of Co-op placements available to students.  These opportunities are made available through educational institutions that offer Co-operative placements as a component of student development and learning.  We do not post Co-operative opportunities directly on our webpage.
